Occupying most of the scene, men from the military cavalry look away from the frame. Yet what really stands out in the photograph lies in the corner: a man without a uniform on a white horse tries to flee and, in front of him, in the lower corner, another man holds a gun close to these bodies running towards the bullet. From a 1968 photo, not only the story of this man on a white horse is unveiled, but of an entire Brazil that insists on reviving the brutal violence of conservative forces. *(C.A)
