ABOUT FRIENDSHIP AND BICYCLES - Olhar de Cinema – Festival Internacional de Curitiba

Synopsis

Due to his physical condition, Thiago is unable to ride a bicycle and is constantly teased by a group of children in the neighborhood. When the boy meets Cecília, a partially sighted girl, a new friendship emerges; they complement and strengthen each other to try to make possible what everyone considers impossible. (M.M.)

Julia Vidal

Julia Vidal worked as screenwriter for the series "A Caverna de Petra" (Canal Futura) and "Manual de Sobrevivência da Literatura Brasileira" (Grafo Audiovisual). As a director, she directed the live-action children's short film "About Friendship and Bicycles" and the animated short film "Parecia Um Bom Plano", both from her own production company Basilico Filmes. She has a degree in Cinema and Video from UNESPAR and an MA in Language and Technology from UTFPR.
