Synopsis
In the backyard of her grandmother’s house, in Brazil’s northeastern hinterland, Alice dos Anjos (Tiffanie Costa) comes across a black goat hurrying past while wearing a suit and tie. When chasing after him, the girl falls into a hole and is transported to a magical world, filled with crazy characters and adventures. In a free and amusing adaptation of “Alice in Wonderland”, Daniel Leite Almeida merges different Brazilian figures and themes with Lewis Carroll’s classic story. (G. B.)
