Synopsis
Trance. Dream. Explosion. Open or close your eyes. See. See the video, the sample, the noise, the scream. This effusive and explosive montage work conducted by Saskia and Bernardo Oliveira forges multiple fragmented paths towards a “Latin Afromerica”. Playful dances, giras, religious worship, speeches, violence, catharsis. The film, liberated and free, emits its waves to reveal, invent, and destroy the images and sounds stored in this Black Box. Bernardo Oliveira is a professor and cultural producer. He produced the films "Noite" e "Sutis Interferências", by Paula Gaitán. He directed the webseries "Aulas & Palestras". He co-produced "Solmatalua" by Rodrigo Ribeiro. Saskia is an artist. In both sight and sound, she manipulates the myriad layers of art. Her debut album, "Pq", was released in 2019 (QTV/Natura). She is a member of the Turmalina (RS) Black art collective and curator at the ZonaExp label of futuristic music. Both co-directed the film "Caixa Preta".
