Synopsis
In this retelling of the classic fairy tale, veteran Brazilian animator Arnaldo Galvão inverts several elements of the narrative while revising some of the most typical villain stereotypes. History, with its origins in the Middle Ages, reemerges full of contemporary and even futuristic signs, in a project that has been in the works for almost twenty years. Screened at several animation and children’s festivals around the world, the film offers a wide variety of ideas for parents and teachers to talk to children after its screening. (E.V.)
