CANCHA – SUNDAY IS SOCCER DAY
Synopsis
Based on film clippings from the Brazilian Cinema Novo and with the participation of filmmaker Zózimo Bulbul, the film directed by Gabriel Borges questions the construction of a new imaginary through the constitutive images of a movement that strived towards this achievement. And leaves a question hanging: did Cinema Novo effectively create a new cinema? (K. M)

Gabriel Borges
Gabriel was born in the city of Ponta Grossa. He is an editor, producer, and film director. With a BA in Cinema and Audiovisual from Unespar, Borges has experience in short and feature films, having worked in the organization and curation of exhibitions, film festivals, and filmclubs.
