Synopsis
The documentary film finds dancer Kunta Leonardo da Cruz between his origins in the Quilombola community Paiol de Telha – the first to hold legal title to their territory in the state of Paraná – and his trip to Curitiba to devote himself to dance. Merging a documentary approach to the community’s history and everyday life with the artist’s performance, director Douglas Carvalho dos Santos navigates different landscapes and formal procedures to explore the strength of gestures and tradition in the dancer’s creative process.
