Synopsis

Every adult lesbian was once a child and teenager. Amidst hetero-romantic imagery and scientific, family, and religious constraints, desires and affections trigger untamable feelings in school-age girls. Merging interviews and archival materials with the reenactment of a pre-teenager’s coming-of-age story in the 1960s, Su Friedrich reveals the search of women and girls for freer ways to exist and love.
