Memby, a film by Rafael Castanheira Parrode, sensorially summons us to enter an unknown or even nonexistent world. Another possible world, perhaps, in which we shall no longer kneel before the rational utility of images. With a sound construction ranging from didgeridoos to drums, the film evokes our ancestral yearnings and memories. (K. M)
