Aunt Neirud was always present at family gatherings. Neirud was big, strong, and worked in the circus. Who was this woman so close to the family and about whom we know so little? This underlying question serves as a catalyst for director Fernanda Faya’s investigative efforts in this documentary film with subtle performances. With shrewd narrative restraint, the director reveals the remarkable story and major repercussion, albeit clandestine, of this woman’s career who maintained for years, together with Fernanda’s grandmother, a wrestling troupe in which she was the main star.
