Synopsis

Following the massive explosion at Beirut’s port in August 2020, which affected vast swathes of the city, the director sets out to explore how its inhabitants have struggled to restore their daily lives. Between the micro and the macro, how can one overcome a trauma which has left visible marks everywhere? Does moving forward imply ignoring past events? In this symphony of a city, the spirit of overcoming merges with the weight of resignation, through both collective and deeply individual struggles. (E. V.)
