ÒSÁNYÍN'S EWÉ: THE SECRET OF THE LEAVES - Olhar de Cinema

Synopsis

A musical animation film that tells the story of a boy who was born with several leaves on his body and is tormented by his schoolmates. In order to avoid being bullied by his colleagues, he flees into the woods one day and finds several enchanted beings who tell him about the path to Òsányìn, the father of leaves. In search of answers, the boy goes after Orisà Òsányìn and discovers the secret and importance of plants and nature. (M. M.)

Pâmela Peregrino

Animator, scenographer, and arts professor at the Federal University of Southern Bahia. She has focused on developing animated short films in community educational processes, with immersion and on-site experience in Black and Indigenous traditional communities. She is a doctoral candidate at the Postgraduate Program in Performing Arts at UNIRIO. Her main works include the short films: "Partir" (2012), "Òpárá de Òsùn: Quando Tudo Nasce" (2018), "Oríkì" (2020); "Porto e Raiz" (2021), and "Òsányín's Ewé: The Secret of The Leaves".
