Fortuitous encounters like the freshness of a morning breeze. Three women from different generations cross paths on the outskirts of Tokyo, in a fiction film whose polished aesthetic proposal rests on subtleties. From the same director of Our house (Olhar ’18), Yui Kiyohara maintains her keen musical sense and gently explores the rhythms of everyday life while transiting through fragments of an unknown past, preserving the complexity of these charming characters and unbounded to the surface of their gestures. (C.I.)
Yui Kiyohara was born in Tokyo in 1992. "Our House", her feature debut, won the Grand Prize at the Pia Film Festival in 2017 and premiered internationally at the 68th Berlin International Film Festival in the Forum section. The film was screened at the 18th Curitiba International Film Festival where it won the Grand Prix award. She also won the 2018 Asian New Talent Award in Shanghai.
