Synopsis

In “Sunday Morning”, director and screenwriter Bruno Ribeiro introduces us to Gabriela: a young pianist on her way to a recital performance. From feeling exhausted by classes and rehearsals; from silences and voids, the young woman experiences a past which floats in the present. On the day prior to her major recital, Gabriela dreams about her mother. From that dream encounter, she will be launched into encounters that allow her to harmonize her memories. (K. M.)

Bruno Ribeiro

Bruno Ribeiro, 1994, is a film student at the Federal Fluminense University, in Rio de Janeiro. He wrote, directed, and edited several short films screened at festivals such as Rotterdam, Doclisboa, and Berlinale. His latest short film, "Sunday Morning" (2022), won the Silver Bear at the Berlin Film Festival. The director is currently developing the script for "Zion", his first feature film project.
