Synopsis
Stemming from an unusual narrative, “Taste of Hope” shapes a subtle and delicate allegory about the immigration of people from other South American countries to Brazil, in a relationship that reveals places of similitude, yet also historical and dramaturgical spaces that signal the latent imperialism behind these flows. All this condensed in the protagonist’s stifled atmosphere. (B. G.)
