Synopsis
It’s nighttime in Porto Alegre, and Joana (Carol Martins) rides her bicycle to work. An unexpected event, however, will disrupt the young woman’s routine, forcing her to question her certainties and confront her choices. A short moral tale, meticulously filmed and edited, but without any trace of detachment. A firm belief on the power of fiction and human complexities, and especially on the power of cinema to capture them. (E.V.)

Bruno Carboni
Bruno Carboni was born in Porto Alegre, 1988. His first short film "The Roof Above Us" was screened in the competitive section at the Locarno Festival - Switzerland and won best direction and best sound design at the 43rd Gramado Film Festival. Bruno was selected to participate in Berlinale Talents 2016 and Locarno Filmmakers Academy 2015. "The Accident" is his first feature film, developed in the Torino Film Lab 2018 (Italy).
