Synopsis
For most people the Guarulhos Airport is merely a station, whereas for others it serves as a workplace and residence. What existed in this place, where today lies the airport? From an apparently simple question, the film digs up surprising answers using all the tools available to cinema: fiction, reality, performance, illusion. Layer after layer is revealed, but for every land that is removed and every hole that opens up, a new mystery seems to emerge. Can cinema film History or only stories? (E.V.)

Flora Dias, Juruna Mallon
Flora Dias is a filmmaker and cinematographer. She made the short films "Ocidente" (2016), "Miragem" (2019), and "Pytang" (2020). Juruna Mallon is a filmmaker and sound editor. He made the documentaries "Satan Satie" (2015) and "Les Îles Résonnantes" (2017). "The Intrusion" is their second feature-length film, following "O Sol Nos Meus Olhos" (2013).
