After concluding his studies, a teenager returns to his parents’ farm in the peaceful Denmark countryside, where the days are nearly always the same. But “being the same” is far from what a young South Korean man experiences growing up in a Nordic community, and neither are his and his family’s hopes for the future the same. In this autobiographically inspired fiction film, Malene Choi adds imagination and fantasy to a son’s search for his own place in the world, delicately navigating the complexities of interracial adoptions.
