Synopsis
One night, a woman is summoned to sink into past memories through a dream. In Michelle Coelho’s experimental documentary, the dreamlike world dialogues with the reality of many women around the world: abortion. On the island where “women create fissures through which the light enters”, they are reminded one by one that The Sea is also theirs. (K.M.)

Michelle Coelho, 33 years old, Brazilian, has a degree in journalism and is a documentary filmmaker with a BA from the International School of Cinema and Television in San Antonio de Los Baños, Cuba, and an MA in auteur documentary creation at the same school. She began her audiovisual career with video journalistic reports in Brazil, especially on topics related to agrarian and urban conflicts for media outlets such as Brasil de Fato, The Intercept, Opera Mundi, among others. In 2020, she directed "A Caixa da Alma".
