Synopsis
The missive account of an impossibility of life. Departing from a letter written by a man enslaved during Colonial Brazil, the film creates the texture of the untold stories of this Colony, which constantly updates itself day after day. The written words are placed over archival images and contemporary reconstructions of the paths towards the dark room where this letter takes us. It is a story of banzo, the conscience of exile in a world that tried to deny it the very right to speak. It is therefore time for the named to name that which has been denied. (C. A)
