The mundane practical dilemmas faced by Indianara shed a discernible light on the strangeness of Brazil’s socio-political arena, extremely reluctant to introduce groups such as transsexual people into its ranks of power. Indianara is a symbol of it all – but she is also just a person, with her fears, her aptitudes, and her personal achievements.
