Just a year after being discovered with their debut feature, ‘Café com Canela’, which won the audience and screenplay awards at the Brasilia Film Festival, Ary Rosa and Glenda Nicácio return with a second feature. Once again filming from Cachoeira, a town in the Brazilian northeast state of Bahia where they met while studying cinema, they now propose a vibrant reflection on the power of bearing a camera and dominating a narrative. A filmmaker finds himself kidnapped and urged to make a film under the orders of his abductor. Who dominates whom?
Ary Rosa, Glenda Nicácio Ary Rosa and Glenda Nicácio graduated in Cinema at the Federal University of Recôncavo da Bahia (UFRB) and founded the independent production company Rosza Filmes (2011). They began their career with short films and experiments of language in fiction and documentary investigating the collective process in the cinema production. Thus, since their first experiments they’ve shared the general direction of the films believing that this choice enhance the works both narratively and aesthetically.
