Camila Macedo

Camila Macedo works in research, curatorship, and filmmaking, with a focus on the interfaces between art, education, and gender and sexuality studies. She is a PhD candidate in Education at UFPR and holds a BA in Cinema and Video from UNESPAR. Along with Débora Zanatta, she is a programmer at Cineclube Solax and coordinator of the SESI-PR Audiovisual Center. She has been a member of the Olhar de Cinema curatorial panel since 2018.

Carol Almeida

Researcher, teacher and film curator. PhD from the Federal University of Pernambuco, with research focused on contemporary Brazilian cinema. She has been a member of the curatorial team of Olhar de Cinema since 2017, and has participated in the curatorship of festivals such as Recifest, Sesc Film Festival and, more recently, the 2nd Arab Women Film Festival in Brazil.

Kênia Freitas

Kênia Freitas is a curator and programmer at Cinema do Dragão. She holds a PhD in Communication and Culture from UFRJ. She concluded her postdoctoral internships in Communication at UCB and Unesp-Bauru. Since 2015, she has curated several film exhibitions and festivals, such as: “Afro-Feminine Cinemas: Reimagining Worlds” (6th Afro Exhibition/ Bogota Cinematheque/Colombia), “Afrofuturism Exhibition” (São Paulo Cultural Center), Special Exhibition “We Are The War” (20th Goiânia Short Film Exhibition). Member of the curatorial teams at the IX CachoeiraDoc (2020) and the Vitória Film Festival (2018). She has held several lectures, workshops, and mini-courses on Afrofuturism and Film Criticism. She writes for the film website Multiplot! since 2012. She is a member of the FICINE – Itinerant Black Cinema Forum.

Ramayana Lira

Professor in the Postgraduate Program in Language Sciences and the Undergraduate Cinema and Audiovisual course at UNISUL. Postdoctoral fellow at the University of Leeds. Fulbright Scholar-in-Residence Scholar. Vice President of SOCINE. Former Audiovisual representative at the State Council of Culture of Santa Catarina. Former president of the Municipal Film Fund of Florianópolis. Curator and judge at film and arts festivals and exhibitions in Brazil.

Alessandra Brandão

Alessandra Soares Brandão is a professor and coordinator of the Cinema Course at UFSC, where she also coordinates the outreach project “Conversations With Women in Cinema”, focused on film criticism and curatorship from a feminist perspective, and the “Queerrâncias” research group. She was editor of the Brazilian Journal of Film and Audiovisual Studies (Rebeca).
