Synopsis
Directed by Anne Lise Ale and E.M.Z Camargo, “Valentina Versus” tells the heroic journey of Valentina, Joana, and Ariel. The girlfriends’ traditional RPG night turns into an epic battle when Valentina is persuaded to go to a party. Transporting the language of gamers to cinema, the film ventures into a fantastic universe while revealing that life can be an exciting journey. (K. M.)

Anne Lise Ale is a filmmaker, researcher, and founding partner of the film production company Julieta Audiovisual. "Valentina Versus" is her directorial debut. E. M. Z. Camargo is the producer behind the animation "Apneia" (2019), awarded Best Brazilian Short Film at the Gramado Film Festival, and co-director of the animation film "Vivi Lobo e o Quarto Mágico" (2019), an award-winning children's animated short film nominated for the Grand Prix of Brazilian Cinema (2020). "Palhaços Anônimos" (2015) was Camargo’s directorial debut.
