Opening Film

On October 6, the 10th edition of Olhar de Cinema will begin and, once again, shine the spotlight on contemporary Brazilian cinema. We are honored to announce the opening film Inauguration Day (O Dia da Posse), the new feature film by filmmaker Allan Ribeiro, from Rio de Janeiro. The event will be the world premiere by a filmmaker with a consolidated career, which has evolved in parallel to the festival throughout its ten years of existence – the documentary feature Beyond My Reflection was part of 4th Olhar. A film that, while traversed by the pandemic, does not limit itself to it: rather, the work reimagines a different Brazil.
